When I drove in my car this morning, I spotted him on the asphalt and stopped to take him off the road to the grass and forest beside (I'm a good boy, am I not?). In exchange I wanted to photograph him, but he wasn't in the mood for modelling.

He is really quick!

This morning I encountered for the third time in my life a Grass Snake (Natrix natrix), but she was unwilling and reluctant and would not let me take a nice pic :-( So I let her go and hope she will have a nice day.

They live in the attic, under the roof. I don't know what species they are. I try to disturb them as few as possible. They (or their ancestors) where already there when I was a child - more then thirty years ago.
